BE INSPIRED!

The Forest of Dean run begins at the Beechenhurst Lodge visitors centre, leading onto a variety of off road trails before returning on a spectacular descent into one of the old pit rail tracks. You need to make those legs work with a little uphill track just at the end, before dropping back to the visitor centre and the finish line!

Directions

The race starts in the Events area at the Beechenhurst Lodge on the Speech House Road, which is the B4226 from Cinderford to Coleford. Your race entry fee includes car parking, please display your voucher or you will be liable for the parking fee.

Bus, Train Options

Buses – 30/31 runs from Gloucester to Cinderford to Coleford, but are infrequent http://www.stagecoachbus.com/wyeanddean/timetables.php
Trains – the nearest station is Lydney, approx 10 miles away

Start Time

The race begins at 7 pm so best be there for 1815 at the latest to collect your chip and get your place on the start line.
For those entering the 3km Fun Run, you’ll need to be on the start line 1905 for a 1910 pm start. But don’t forget to collect your timing chip from the registration tent too!

Catering/Refreshments

On site you’ll be fed and watered pre and post trail run from the on site café offering cold drinks and plenty of delicious food. They’ll be on hand to feed you up and get you back to full strength! A lovely way to finish a summers evening with a picnic in the Forest!

Toilets

There will be plenty of toilets. But don’t forget the extra toilet paper in your kit bag – just in case! Please do not use the surrounding countryside!

Bag Storage

We recommend you leave all valuables in your locked cars as parking is not too far from the start. Alternatively, you can leave bags at the registration area but this is AT YOUR OWN RISK as the area will not be supervised
